My ASVAB Experience

You came to my page because you want to get some information about others people experience about taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). Don't worry, I'm here to give you some information about my experience and apps, websites that I used on how to pass the ASVAB.

I was born in the Philippines, I just moved here in Jacksonville Florida USA last July 11, 2018. When I was in the Philippines, I took the practice test and they call it ASVAB pre-test which is a test to test your capability to pass the real ASVAB. I took the practice test at "Retired Activities Office" located at Barretto Olongapo City Zambales.  I passed the pre-test then after that, my recruiter gave me a test which is the PICAT which I took October 2017 and I passed it then he scheduled me to take the ASVAB to Guam, but unfortunately I do have a work that time and I refused to take the exam. 

I moved here to U.S and I decided to take the ASVAB, but before that I review again for the test because its almost a year the last time I deal with the ASVAB practice test. I took the test a month ago after I moved here then I passed, then my recruiter scheduled me to take the real ASVAB.



Taking the ASVAB

I was scheduled to take the ASVAB at 1:00 pm, but the night before the test, I was so depressed and thinking all night about all these questions in my mind like "what if I fail the test", "Is the math subject hard?" until I realized that I can't sleep, and I just slept like two hours and went to my recruiters office that I know to myself that ASVAB gonna kick my ass.

My recruiter and I went to MEPS then I waited for like 1 hour before I took the test. At first, I was so nervous and really feels like I'm gonna fail that test, but while I'm taking the test, It was just like I didn't really expect that the test would be easy for me and I passed the test with 72 AFQT score.
